I Am Jane Doe, Documentary Showing

Human Trafficking Session #2 - Viewing of Film and Discussion

While we may think that human trafficking is a social problem far removed from New Jersey and our own communities, the reality is much different. It is a 32 billion dollar-a-year industry that is on the rise in ALL 50 states. Many of our youth are lured into the commercial sex trade every year - many of whom are students still attending school while being trafficked. No community, socio-economic group, or student demographic is immune.

As a caring citizen, you will want to learn how human trafficking impacts its victims and just how close this problem is to our doorstep. You will also want to know what you can do to stop it, and to help those innocents who have been caught up in it.

Become a force for education and change within your family, local community, church, workplace and social organizations!

Buying a child for sex online can be as easy as selling your old couch. A recent study found that 70% of child trafficking survivors were, at one point, sold online. Join us for a special viewing of a powerful documentary film entitled "I Am Jane Doe" that shines a light on sex trafficking and the battle being waged against and other corporations for their role in this appalling situation. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion focusing on legal and legislative actions being taken. Also being presented will be a valuable segment on how to improve social media safety for our children.

In order to respect the privacy of those attending, all individuals registering are asked to refrain from bringing cameras, and to not take photographs at the event with cell phones. THANK YOU
